Iqyax rolling
It has been such a busy spring. Paddles have been made, classes have been held. And in between, I have built a new Iqyax... My theory is that rolling any kayak is all about padding.... or at least mostly. This little beauty is 5,18 cm. long, 52 cm. wide. Canvas covered wooden frame, spruce and oak...19 kilo including sea sock and a pretty flat/square cross section.
I did a little test ride this afternoon. As expected, it was fast and very stable. It fitted me like a glove and I had no difficulty doing pretty advanced Greenland rolls in it.....The video shows elbow roll, forward ending hand roll and static bracing with elbow roll ending :).
