More preperations - we're getting close

 In the summer of 2026, to celebrate 30 years as a professional kayak builder, Anders Thygesen and 2 friends will do a 1600 km. (1000 miles) kayaking trip around the entire coast of Northern Norway. The planning of the trip is getting more and more detailed. First I must say, I'm not paddling alone. Joining me on the trip is Audun Myribø - my co-worker for many years now. And From Alta, Finnmark comes Bjørn Harald Hansen. Two great guys who are both clever ad able. We will start out from The Russian border in the North-East on June 29. and paddle as far as we can toward the ending point Brønnøysund. Though, Bjørn may skip paddling when we get to around Tromsø. The main part of the gear is roughly settled. We're currently planning our food. Audun and I will do some vacuum packing of oats, nuts etc. for breakfast and lunch. And we have ordered lots of pre-made freeze-dried meals from Real in Tromsø. My biggest concern still is my own shape/constitution. But this week I wrote 1200 km. in my log, dating a year back. I feel that i'm in pretty good shape. Here is a few pictures from May paddling:

 My brand new stove for the trip. Gasoline-run and fool proof. Small and light. We'll bring another stove as well, along with some kettles and a frying pan for gourmet seafood meals.

Even though I've done most of the paddling alone, I've had great company on many of my small trips from Jannie and occasionally other friends and companions.
