Here we go :)
Just a real quick update from Northern Norway. The journey has started and all is well. My flight arrived Kirkenes airport on Sunday, and I was picked up by Bjørn and Audun.
A short drive took us to the Russian border. Here we pose in front of King Oscars Chapel that was raised as a sign of Norwegian soverignty in this area. A must for all travellers in this area.
Getting started was exciting in many ways. The weather can be tough, and the good landing spots few. We had some good forecasts, and went on like the weather predicted. We did out first big fjord crossing in fine weather - 20 km across Varanger. Now we are canping in Kiberg, planning to round the Easternmost corner of Norway today at Vardø, and head on to Hamningsberg if the weather permits it.
